About us

Our Beliefs

Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The ELCA confesses the Triune God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In our preaching and teaching the ELCA trusts the Gospel as the power of God for the salvation of all who believe.

ELCA teaching and theology serves the proclamation and ministry of this faith. It does not have an answer for all questions, not even all religious questions. Teaching and theology prepares members to be witnesses in speech and in action of God’s rich mercy and love in Jesus Christ.  God’s Work– Our Hand’s!

Our Mission

The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer exists to learn, teach, and proclaim the Word of God, and to nurture one another in the Christian faith in order to create a worship family; serve our community; and build the kingdom of God.

Our history

In June of 1962, interested families from Grace Lutheran Church (now Bethlehem) in Brush met to consider establishing a congregation in Fort Morgan. In November of 1962, 46 member's from Brush became the nucleus of the new Fort Morgan church. The first service was held at Columbine School with 184 in attendance. It has now been over 50 years and the people of LCOR continue to be an important part of the community of Fort Morgan, showing all the love that God has for them. Our History is not only the past but also the present and we continue to look into the future for what is in store for God’s church, which is God’s people!
